Rental Requirements
Westwind is proud to offer aircraft rental to all of our qualified customers. This means that once you earn your private pilot certificate, you can share the joy of flying with your friends and family by taking them where you want, when you want. You will find that our aircraft
rental policies are much less restrictive than many other flight schools. Below is information related to common aircraft rental questions and checkout requirements. A copy of our detailed policy is available upon request.

- 100 hours of total flight time
- 20 hours of retract time or 10 hours of dual instruction in the Piper Arrow with a Westwind instructor
- Complex endorsement

| G1000 T182T |
- Log at least 10 hours of G1000 flight time (in any G1000 aircraft)
- Log at least 10 hours of Turbo 182 PIC flight time. In lieu of this, pilots may perform 6 hours of flight training in the G1000 T182T with a qualified Westwind instructor (The 10 hours of G1000 flight time is still required, but may be obtained in other G1000 aircraft/Simulator)

- 300 hours total flight time if Private multi rated
- 250 hours total flight time if Commercial Multi rated
- Instrument rating.
- 50 hours of multi-engine flight time and 10 hours in make and model “or” 25 hours multi-engine flight time to include a minimum 6 hours of flight training with a WSA instructor on make and model.
- Twin Star requires above requirements plus 10 hours total G-1000 experience (in any G-1000 aircraft/simulator) and ground training on DA-42 systems.
